3263: Color blindness Question
One of the team members is color blind. Are we allowed to place symbols onto our bean bags so he can differentiate between the bean bag colors using the symbols? If so, can we bring a set of bean bags to competitions with us with these symbols?
If a Student needs an accommodation for color blindess, your Team must first submit a request for accommodation to Global Robotics. If approved for this specific accommodation at a specific event, your Team would be allowed to bring your own set of modified VEX IQ Level Up Bean Bags for use in your Matches at that event.
To modify the VEX IQ Level Up Bean Bags for this accommodation, Teams are allowed to write a symbol on each Bean Bag using a marker, with each Bean Bag color having its own unique symbol, allowing a color blind student to better differentiate between the three Bean Bag colors. Teams are not allowed to add stickers/patches or make any other significant modification that impacts the physical characteristics of the Bean Bags and how they behave when handled by a Robot. A Bean Bag modified for this reason should function identically to that of a non-modified Bean Bag.
