WEST WEBER COWBOYS LEVEL UP SHOWDOWN AM
Saddle up! West Weber Elementary invites you to join us for the West Weber Cowboys Level Up Showdown AM VEX IQ Robotics Competition for Elementary Teams!
We are welcoming 28 teams to our corral to wrangle their robots in the arena. We will run a full event featuring both Teamwork and Skills Challenges. This tournament serves as an official qualifier for the Utah State Championship!*
Digital Engineering Notebooks
Please note that we will NOT be accepting physical Engineering Notebooks for judging at this event. All notebook submissions must be submitted digitally no later than 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 23rd. No engineering notebooks will be accepted or judged on the day of the event.
Chuckwagon Concessions
Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event to refuel your crew. All proceeds directly support and grow our West Weber VEX Robotics program. Cash ONLY will be accepted.
Event Schedule (Morning Session)

8:00 AM – 8:45 AM: Team Set-up, Check-in, & Inspection

8:45 AM – 9:00 AM: Drivers’ Meeting

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Teamwork Challenges (4 matches for each team)

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Skills Challenges* / Judging

12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Finals Matches

12:30 PM: Awards Ceremony
If all teams are checked in and inspected prior to 8:45 AM, we will move up the Drivers’ Meeting and begin tournament play and open Skills fields early.
Competition Notes

*Skills Runs: Each team will be allowed 3 skills runs for both Driver Skills and Autonomous Skills.

Judging Criteria: Judging will include evaluations for the Excellence, Design, and Innovate Awards. Teams wanting to be eligible for these awards must submit a link to their digital engineering notebook no later than 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 23rd.

*State Qualifying: Qualifying criteria must be met to advance to the Utah State Championship.

If weather makes traveling dangerous for teams, please stay home. If we must cancel the tournament due to dangerous weather situations, we will re-schedule if possible. As much notice due to inclement weather will be given as possible.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
-Due to the weather we will work to reschedule the event or transfer your registration to another event or refund if no event
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Refunds are given on a case-by-case basis, minus the $5.00 non-refundable fee. Please contact the event partner for more information as needed.

- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
