Welcome to the Bay Area Youth Robotics VEX IQ Tournament #2, hosted by the Bay Area Youth Robotics Foundation (BAYRF)! We are excited to bring VEX IQ teams from across the Bay Area together for a full day of robotics competition, teamwork, problem-solving, and learning.
Before the Event
Please make sure your team:
- Is familiar with the current VEX IQ Robotics Competition Game Manual and rules
- Has a competition-ready robot that meets all VEX IQ inspection requirements
- Brings all necessary equipment, including the robot, controller, batteries, chargers, spare parts, and team materials
- Completes all required participant consent forms
- Arrives on time for team check-in and robot inspection
Event Day
Teams will participate in:
- Teamwork Challenge Qualification Matches
- Robot Skills Challenge Matches
- Finals Matches
- Judged Award opportunities, where applicable
Please plan to arrive early enough to complete check-in and robot inspection. Teams arriving after the check-in deadline may not be included in the official match schedule.

Important: All teams must complete check-in and robot inspection before participating. Teams that arrive after the check-in deadline may not be included in the official match schedule.

Bay Area Youth Robotics Foundation is looking for volunteers for upcoming VEX IQ Robotics Competition in the Bay Area! Volunteers can help with check-in, field setup, team support, judging support, and general event operations.
Please contact [email protected] for opportunities and we will also send out detailed information before the event.

In the event of severe weather or other emergencies that require us to cancel the event, we will contact you to arrange a rescheduled date or provide a full refund.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
In the event of severe weather, safety concerns, or other emergencies that require us to cancel the event, registered teams will be contacted and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Registration fees are non-refundable. Teams that withdraw or fail to attend the event will not be eligible for a refund unless otherwise approved by the Event Partner.
Waitlisted Teams:
Teams that remain on the waitlist and are not admitted to the event will not be required to pay the registration fee. Any payments already collected will be refunded.

- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that will be scheduled ahead of the event date.
