معلومات عامة

Welcome to Terrell Robotic's Middle School OVERRIDE Tournament, Cupid's Clash!

Terrell Robotics welcomes you back to the ExCEL Center for a Valentine's Day-themed VEX V5 OVERRIDE tournament celebrating the things we love most about robotics: competition, creativity, engineering, teamwork, and a little friendly rivalry!

We aim to provide a tournament that is reliable, fast-paced, organized, competitive, and FUN for every team that walks through our doors.

Whether this is your team's first-ever VEX competition or you're a seasoned team of seniors, we want you to feel welcome and ready to compete. Our volunteers, referees, staff, and student leaders are here to help make your experience a great one.

Bring your team. Bring your robot. Bring your heart for robotics.

Love at First Match

We're bringing some Valentine's Day spirit to the tournament!

Teams are encouraged to celebrate the theme with:

  • Valentine's Day-themed team apparel
  • Valentine's-inspired robot or pit themes
  • Appropriate/safe costumes and accessories

Think hearts, robots, teamwork, and school spirit!

All decorations, clothing, and costumes should remain school-appropriate, safe, and competition-friendly and must not interfere with robot operation, inspections, driving, or movement around the competition area.

Competition Day

Expect a full day of, teamwork, engineering, problem-solving, sportsmanship, and plenty of robot action! Things may not always go according to plan, and that's part of robotics! Don't let one bad match put your spirits in the graves.

We encourage every team to use those moments as opportunities to practice the engineering design process, communicate with their teammates, and learn from challenges.

Sportsmanship Matters

Winning is exciting, but great sportsmanship is what makes a great team.

We encourage students to:

  • Cheer for other teams
  • Help teammates and competitors when appropriate
  • Respect referees and volunteers
  • Encourage alliance partners
  • Celebrate good matches
  • Learn from mistakes
  • Represent their school and team with pride

Coaches & Mentors

Coaches and mentors, thank you for supporting your students and helping them grow through robotics.

We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work to keep the tournament moving throughout the day. Please watch the event schedule and announcements for important updates.

Parents & Spectators

Families and supporters are an important part of the VEX experience!

Come ready to cheer, encourage, and celebrate your students. Your support can make a huge difference for a nervous driver before a match or a team trying to recover after a tough round.

We're excited to celebrate another day of competitive robotics with teams from across the region.

Charge your batteries, so you find that spark.

Check your connections.

Bring your heart for robotics.

See you on the field!
