Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Dobrovolník

Volunteers are an important part of every event and we acknowledge that these events would be impossible without them. We appreciate those volunteers who are willing to give their time for the benefit of our students!  Volunteers help make events run smoothly and play a critical role in every process, from registration to scoring to judging. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and lunch.

In the event of bad weather, we will make every attempt to contact all coaches by email, phone or text, as well as make announcements through social media of any changes of the event or the event schedule. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If this event is canceled by the Event Partner, a refund for registration fees paid minus the $5 REC processing fee will be issued to each team. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, registration fees will not be refunded.

We will be live-streaming this event on the Ohio VEX Robotics State Championship YouTube Channel.    

Formát hodnocení

• Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions 
  • Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
  • The notebook submission deadline is:  Friday, February 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
  • Any teams that qualify or receive an invitation to compete at this event AFTER this deadline should make sure their notebook link is posted at the time of registration.
• In Person Team Interviews:
  • Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
  •  All teams will have the opportunity to be interviewed at least once.  Some teams may receive second interviews if the Judges need additional information. 

Please refer to the Judge Guide for all judging and Engineering Notebook information, criteria, procedures, rubrics, etc. 

A3 Robot Safety Award

• One of our event sponsors, A3 Association for Advancing Automation, will be sponsoring the A3 Robot Safety Award for High School teams.

• We have worked with this sponsor to ensure the submission process and judging process for this award closely align with current judging practices.

• Please see the attached PDF document that outlines key factors of the award and the correlation to industry standards.  

• The A3 Robot Safety Award is separate from and in addition to the standard awards outlined in the Judge Guide.
