Doors open 7:00AM (Check in and inspections open ASAP) 

Check-in until 8:30 (FIRM--if you hit traffic, you MUST call to be included in match list)

Skills field opens at 9

Inspections COMPLETE at 9 (Again, this is FIRM--bring robots ready to compete)

First 3 matches queued to fields by 9:15

Driver's meeting 9:15

Opening ceremonies 9:30

Qualifying matches begin 9:45

Lunch break 12:30-1:15

Qualifying matches resume 1:30

Qualifying matches end 3:30

Skills field closes at the end of final Qualifying match 

Alliance selection 3:30-4

Eliminations 4-5

Closing ceremonies 5-5:30

WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS!  

Volunteers are managed in shifts--either 7:30am-1pm or 12pm-5:30pm (or both, if you like).  Volunteers will be provided lunch (pizza).  Volunteers will be trained at the event (no previous experience or expertise required!!)  Some jobs are for adults only, but MANY can be done by kids as young as 10.  

VOLUNTEERING IS A GREAT WAY TO GET SERVICE HOURS (for Bright Futures, Scholarship applications, etc  or simply to do a nice thing for others).  Volunteering at a VEX V5 Robotics Competition™ event is fun!

In the event of an emergency cancellation or other change in plans, teams will be notified via the team contact information available through events.vex.com.  Be certain this contact emails and phone numbers for your teams are correct to insure up-to-date information.

Refunds will ONLY be issued if the event is cancelled.  Refunds will never include any non-refundable fees required by Global Robotics and Science Foundation.

IF you register a team, and later find they cannot attend, PLEASE contact [email protected] as there may be waitlisted teams that will buy your spot from you. 

The payment deadline for this event is October 9th. If you have not paid by this date, your team can be moved to the waitlist.

Event will take place in the Harry H. Anderson Gym at Ransom Everglades (Upper School Campus), 3575 Main Highway, Miami FL 33133

Parking is free, but there is a little walk to the gym, so a cart for equipment is recommended.

Judging for this event

• NOTEBOOKS will be judged ONLINE.  Notebooks must be submitted to the team's events.vex.com account by October 9th, 2026 by 11:59pm. 
• HOW TO LINK notebooks can be seen near the end of this short video. 
• INTERVIEWS will be conducted in-person the day of the event.
• Please take a look at the deadline for the Notebook. It is a week before the event, October 9th. Submission of the notebook on events.vex.com is the only way to submit them.
