Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

12:00 pm - Venue opens - Team Check-in Van Meter Gym, Beckley
12:00- 12:30 pm - Technical Inspection
12:30 pm - Welcome and Game/Rules Overview in Gym
1:00 - 5:00 pm  - Qualifying Matches and Skills until 5pm - once last QM run, Skills are closed.
5:30 pm - Elimination Rounds
Awards to follow
8:00 pm - Venue closes (you may come pack up in the morning of February 14 (if needed)

Notfall-/Schlechtwetterrichtlinie

In the event of a bad weather cancellation, we will reach out via email by 6 am the day of the event or as soon as we know of inclement weather. 

Our student volunteers must work within the framework of WVUTech's and Raleigh County School's inclement weather policies. I will update this page as soon as I know of any inclement weather. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: no refunds available

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: no refunds available

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
