Allgemeine Info
Welcome to our third annual competition in the Capital of Canada, held at the top independent school in Ottawa, Ashbury College. The event will be offered to Ontario teams to qualify for the Ontario Provincial Championship in elevated competition experiences.
All participants, including parents, coaches, mentors, and students, must follow the rules for Ashbury College.
- Indoor shoes are only allowed at the main gym, including the competition field, pit areas, etc. Bleachers are exempt from this.
- Water only at the main gym, including the competition field, pit areas, etc. No food or drinks are allowed.
- All wheels of dollies that will enter the main gym must be cleaned before entering.
- No building/repairing robots on the gym floor and no tools can be left on the gym floor either.
Competition Preparation
This event is sure to be fast-paced and exciting. All teams should come prepared for the competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
- Review the rules and the code of conduct, and run through the inspection checklist.
- Check the VEX Forum and the Q&A for official rule updates and changes.
- Carefully read all of the information contained in this tournament posting
- Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.
- Prepare for your interviews with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.
- Ensure that you have the latest version of the firmware.

Notfall-/Schlechtwetterrichtlinie
In the event of an emergency or poor weather, teams will be notified as soon as possible. If there is the possibility of poor weather, a call for running the event will be sent out 48 hours before the day of the event.
Rückerstattungs- und Zahlungsrichtlinien
If the Event Partner cancels the event, teams will receive a 50% refund. It will only be cancelled in the event of inclement weather that makes travel and running the event unsafe.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event, then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- They will receive a full refund 1 month before the event
- They will receive a 50% refund if it is before the payment deadline
- No refunds are available for withdrawals/non-attendance after the payment deadline.

Reiseinformationen
We are located at 362 Mariposa Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario. Teams can access the event via the enterance on Glenwood where there is wheel chair access and a roundabout for buses to drop off/pick up teams.
Parking
There is limited parking at the front of the school; however, we will open the staff parking lot off Springfield Rd. Buses drop off at the Glenwood Ave. entrance to easily offload equipment for the event, and they can park at St. Laurent Mall. There is no on-site parking for buses. Signs and volunteer guides will be present at the event's start to help orient teams to the school.

Everyone can access the live feed of the event from the following link. It will follow both fields in the competition.
Bewertungsformat
The event will have all judging in person. The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. Teams ensure that a digital copy of their notebook is on VEX Events 1 week before the competition for the judges to review.
Local Team Discount
Local Teams that can provide an additional field with game elements are eligible to register one team for free. We kindly request that you provide volunteers to assist with setup on Friday and take down on Saturday, allowing you to organize your parts as needed, as well as helping to get the field to and from the school.
