Welcome to the Level Up Throwdown!
Join us on November 21, 2026, at the TEC Flex Space at Gillette College for a fun, low-pressure VEX IQ Robotics scrimmage featuring the 2026–2027 game, Level Up.
This event is designed to give teams the opportunity to gain match experience, practice strategy, test their robots, and enjoy competing with other VEX IQ teams in a supportive environment.
Teams will participate in Teamwork Challenge matches only.
This scrimmage will not include:
- Robot Skills matches
- Judging or team interviews
- Judged awards
Because this is a scrimmage, the focus is on practice, experience, and having fun rather than qualification.

Tentative Event Schedule – November 21, 2026
9:00–9:45 AM – Team Check-In and Practice
9:45–10:00 AM – Driver Meeting / Event Welcome
10:00 AM–12:00 PM – Teamwork Challenge Matches
12:00–1:00 PM – Lunch Break
1:00–2:30 PM – Teamwork Challenge Matches
2:30–3:00 PM – Final Matches and Event Wrap-Up
This event will focus on Teamwork Challenge competition only. There will be no Robot Skills matches, judging, or team interviews.
Schedule is subject to change based on the final number of registered teams.

Volunteers Needed
The Level Up Throwdown depends on volunteers to help the day run smoothly. No previous VEX IQ experience is required for many roles, and training will be provided as needed.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Team check-in
- Field reset
- Queuing teams for matches
- Scorekeeping
- Refereeing
- Practice field support
- General event assistance

Política de emergencia/mal tiempo
In the event of severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, or another emergency that affects the Level Up Throwdown, registered teams will be notified as soon as possible of any schedule changes, delays, or cancellation.
Because teams may be traveling from outside the Gillette area, coaches and families should use their own judgment when determining whether travel conditions are safe.
If Gillette College closes due to weather or an emergency, including what is typically a Level II Snow Emergency, the event will not be held as scheduled. We will make every reasonable attempt to reschedule the Level Up Throwdown for another date. If the event cannot be rescheduled, it will be canceled.
Any event updates will be communicated through the contact information provided during registration and, when possible, posted on the event page.
Políticas de reembolso y pago
If the Event Partner cancels the event: A full refund will be issued.
If the event is postponed or rescheduled: Team registrations will be transferred to the new event date. If a team is unable to attend the rescheduled date, the Event Partner will determine whether a refund can be issued.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration and later chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refund will be issued.
