Welcome to the first VEX V5 High School Competition at UT Austin!
This competition will be hosted at the Texas Union Ballroom at UT Austin by the VEXU Team GHOST and UT IEEE RAS. We are proud to do this in conjunction with The University of Texas at Austin and the robotics research organization Texas Robotics. We plan on organizing with the university campus tours and a tour of the university robotics research space.
Other robotics clubs at UT Austin will also be there to help volunteer and show the amazing things that UT Austin STEM has to offer! Additionally, we will be holding some side contests at this competition, including a costume contest in the spirit of Halloween!
The beautiful Shirley Bird Perry Ballroom at the UT Student Union.
Closer to the competition, we will provide more details on parking, drop-off, and instructions on how to get to the event.

All volunteers are expected to get training days before the event, as well as complete training from the University of Texas at Austin
Política de emergencia/mal tiempo
If bad weather were to occur, use your own discretion on attending the event. If an event is cancelled and we are not able to reschedule the event, we will refund your tournament fee minus the $5 that is paid to GRSF on registration.

If the event is canceled for weather or other reason, teams will be refunded their registration fee.
Refunds will be given for team-initiated cancellations sent to [email protected] prior to the registration deadline listed above.
Any fee associated with the method of payment (such as a credit card surcharge) will not be refunded.
Teams that have not paid by the payment deadline listed above will be moved to the waitlist. Those teams will not be eligible to participate in the tournament

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply.
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges

Equipment Drop-off
The equipment drop-off is at the back of the Student Union. Turn east from Guadalupe then south on Whitis, where you will find a set of accessibility parking spots. This is the drop-off zone, and the closest accessibility spots if you need them. Walk your gear west between Hogg Auditorium and the Flawn Center toward the Student Union. You will find stairs going up to the ballroom level and a ramp down to the lower level. On entering the lower level there are elevators down the hall to both the left and right.
