Welcome to the Inaugeral PHS VEX V5 Event!
Pasco High School is proud to host the Inaugural V5 Event, a VEX V5 Robotics Competition for middle and high school teams. Join us in the Tri-Cities for a full day of matches, strategy, and engineering as teams compete in this season's game, Override.
Event Format
Teams will play a series of qualification matches in randomly assigned alliances, followed by alliance selection and elimination rounds. Teams will also have the opportunity to compete in Robot Skills Challenge runs throughout the day. Judges will interview teams and review engineering notebooks for judged awards.
Awards
Awards at this event include - Excellence Award, Tournament Champions, Robot Skills Champion, Design Award, Judges Award and Sportsmanship Award.
Schedule Overview
Check-in and inspection: 7-7:45am
Qualification matches:8:30-3:30
Alliance selection and eliminations: 4pm
Awards ceremony: 6pm
A detailed schedule will be sent to registered teams before the event.

Use the staff parking lot just in front of the building off of 10th ave then enter through the front doors.
Spectators Welcome
Admission is free and open to the public. Families, friends, and anyone curious about robotics are encouraged to come watch!

Voluntario
Volunteer at the Inaugural PHS VEX V5 Event!
Our event runs on volunteers, and we can't do it without you. Whether you're a parent, student, teacher, engineer, or just curious about robotics, there's a role for you. No experience is needed for most positions, and training will be provided the morning of the event.
Volunteer Check-in: 7am at PHS Front office
Volunteer Briefing: 7:15
Event Ends: approximately 7pm
All volunteers will receive lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day, and [a volunteer t-shirt / other thank-you]. Students can earn community service hours; we're happy to sign off on hour forms.
Volunteer Roles
Field Reset: Reset game objects on the field between matches. Great for energetic volunteers who like being close to the action.
Queuer: Line up teams for their upcoming matches and keep the schedule running on time.
Scorekeeper: Enter match scores and run the match timer using Tournament Manager software. Training provided; comfort with computers is helpful.
Check-in Table: Welcome teams, check them in, hand out pit assignments, and collect engineering notebooks.
Robot Inspector: Check robots for size and parts compliance before matches begin. Familiarity with the V5 game manual is a plus.
Referee: Watch matches and help the Head Referee enforce game rules. Game manual knowledge required. Head Referee requires REC Foundation certification.
Judge: Interview teams and review engineering notebooks to determine awards. Judges must be adults with no affiliation to competing teams.
Emcee: Announce matches and keep the crowd engaged. Enthusiasm required!
Setup / Teardown / General Help: Help set up fields and pits the [night before / morning of], run messages, and assist wherever needed.
Student Volunteers
Students are welcome and encouraged to volunteer! Students volunteering must have parent/guardian permission, and students who are members of competing teams will be assigned roles that don't affect match outcomes.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
We will attempt to reschedule the event or refund the money.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
There are NO refunds for any reason. Please don't pay until you are sure you are coming!
Formato de evaluación
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
