Battle at Townview

Welcome to the Townview Magnet Center with billion-dollar views of Dallas. The Robobusters team is delighted to be hosting our first V5RC Override qualifying tournament. This tournament will qualify teams for the Texas Region 2 Championships. 

 

 

Entrance to the event will be on the west side of the building at the bottom of the parking lot on the first floor.

Parking:

• Please enter the parking lot on the west side of campus on Eads St. near E. 7th St.  

• The bus can drop teams off at the bottom of the hill.  

• Buses, please park at the bottom of the lot closer to E. 6th St.

• Visitors can park on the upper half of the parking lot.

• There is plenty of parking for all.

 

The event will be held in the “commons” area on the first floor.  The Team Pit area will also be in the commons with easy access for teams to get to the tournament field and skills field.

 

Judging Format: In-Person judging; please submit a digital copy of your notebooks one week prior to the event.  Judges will be set up for teams to visit them.  It will be the responsibility of each team to go to the judges to be interviewed.

 

For food, there is a McDonald’s, a Popeye’s Chicken, and a Jack-in-the-box nearby.  Domino’s Pizza will deliver to Townview.  For the more adventurous, take the two-mile trip west on 8th Street to the Bishop Arts District and try Lockhart Smokehouse BBQ, Hunky’s Old-Fashioned Hamburgers, Emporium Pies, or other options.  We are working on having a concession stand and possibly some food trucks.  We do not plan to take food orders at this time.

Spectators are welcome.  Spectators and coaches will be upstairs on the second floor with an overlook of the competition area.
