Golden West Middle School is proud to host our annual VEX Robotics Tournament. Override is an exciting game and we can't wait to see all the cool designs and talk with some amazing students!

This tournament is a school-only event strictly for middle school teams.

All teams will be provided with a table and 2-4 chairs, and an electrical outlet for charging batteries. Please provide your own surge protector and bring all chargers, extra parts, and computers. Food will be available for purchase (more info on this to come)

11:30 am - 12:15 pm: Lunch
12:15 pm - 2:30 pm: Qualifying Matches
2:30 pm: Alliance Selection
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Elimination Matches
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Awards and Closing ceremonies.
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Cleaning up!!

Voluntario

Volunteers may be needed to assist with Field Reset, Setup and Teardown. Email David Nadler at [email protected] if you have folks that can help out.

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on events.vex.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your events.vex.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

All parties will receive a full refund.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds after 12/31/2026 unless we can fill your spot with another team from the Waiting List. Teams that have not paid by 12/31/2026 will be moved to the Waiting List.

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
