Welcome to Minneola Horizon’s Falcon V5 Flight Fest! Join us in Minneola, Florida, on Saturday, January 16, 2027, for a 24-team VEX V5 Robotics Competition tournament for middle school and high school teams. Minneola Horizon Academy is hosting with support from the Global Robotics & Science Foundation.
Teams will compete in Override qualification matches, have an opportunity to run Robot Skills Challenge matches, and finish the day with finals and awards. We look forward to seeing students test their designs, share ideas, and enjoy a full day of robotics together.

Proposed schedule (times subject to confirmation):
8:00 a.m. — Doors open; team check-in and robot inspection begin
8:45 a.m. — Driver and Event Partner meeting
9:30 a.m. — Qualification matches and Robot Skills Challenge begin
12:00 p.m. — Lunch break
1:00 p.m. — Qualification matches and Robot Skills Challenge resume
3:00 p.m. — Robot Skills Challenge closes at the conclusion of qualification matches
3:15 p.m. — Finals
4:00 p.m. — Awards and dismissal
The final match schedule will be shared at the event. Teams should complete inspection before their first scheduled match.
Voluntario
We would love help from families and community members. Volunteers can assist with check-in, queuing, field reset, scorekeeping, inspection, judging, and event setup or teardown. No previous robotics experience is needed for many roles. Minneola Horizon students may help reset fields; parents are especially welcome as judges, queuers, and check-in volunteers.
If you can help for all or part of the day, please contact Jacob Fuhrman through the event contact information. We will coordinate assignments and instructions before the event.

The safety of students, volunteers, and guests comes first. If severe weather or another emergency affects the event, organizers will post updates on this event page and email registered teams as soon as practical. Please check the event page and your email before traveling if conditions are uncertain. On site, follow school and event staff directions.
Políticas de reembolso y pago
If the Event Partner cancels the event, registered teams will receive a refund of the event registration fee. Team withdrawals are non-refundable because each reserved spot contributes to event expenses.
Payment is due within two weeks of registration. Teams that remain unpaid after that period may be moved to the waitlist so another team can participate. Contact the Event Partner through the event page if your school needs to pay by purchase order or check. No separate processing fee is charged.
Formato de evaluación
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
