Lynn Chrisp Memorial Tournament
Middle School Tournament
The Lynn Chrisp Memorial Tournament, taking place on January 16, honors a man who was, for six years, a passionate fan of robotics. Lynn was a proud grandfather, devoted supporter, and someone who rarely missed a middle or high school robotics tournament, cheering on his grandchildren and their teams through successes, failures, and everything in between. An innovator by nature, Lynn held four patents for farm equipment and spent his life looking at problems and finding creative ways to solve them—one of the many reasons he loved watching his grandchildren do the same through robotics. Lynn died last year after suffering a major stroke. This tournament is a meaningful way to honor his life and celebrate the students, innovation, and robotics community that he loved so much.

9:00am - 12:00pm: Qualification Matches
12:00pm - 12:30pm: Lunch
12:30pm - 2:00pm: Qualification Matches
2:00pm - 2:30pm: Final Alliance Matches / Awards

Get Inspired and Have Fun! Join the excitement by volunteering with a team that helps make this event successful for the students involved.
Volunteer Signup:
The volunteer signup for this tournament will be made available as we get closer to the tournament.
Experience level: No previous experience is needed for most volunteer positions, and you can even bring your kids for a family activity (for example, Field Resetter is an ideal position for young children).
Time Commitment: For most positions, you can register for an entire day or just a portion of the day as your schedule permits.

For weather-related cancellations, we will monitor weather conditions and decide by 5 p.m. the night before the event.
In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on events.vex.com, where we will post updates about the event status as needed.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
If the event is canceled before the first session, full refunds. After the first session, partial refunds may be made at the discretion of the Event Partner.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Full refunds will be available until one week before the first session. After that, refunds based on special circumstances may be made at the discretion of the event partner.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
