Informazioni Generali

Congratulations on qualifying for the California Region 2 VEX V5 High School Championship!  Please take a moment to review all the event details posted here and in the links at left.

Merrill F West High School in Tracy is excited to host and welcome you to the Championship!  Merrill F West High School is easily accessible from the Central Valley and Bay Area, located in the triangle of Interstates 205, 510, and 5.  We will have 3 main playing fields, 4 skills fields, and 3 practice fields.  Each team will have a pit table with one electrical outlet.  All playing fields will be at ground level (not raised).

Judging will be all In-Person during the event.  We will only be accepting Physical Engineering Notebooks for judging.  No digital notebooks.

Payment is due in full by Mar 1, 2026.  It is your responsibility to make sure that the payment has been processed in time.  We will use the visible record of payment on Robot Events to make the determination.  Teams will be moved to the Waitlist if payment is not completed by Mar 1.

Qualifying to this Event:

There are three ways for teams to qualify to Championship events:

  • Qualifying Award: Winning a qualifying award at an official event in the team’s Event Region.

  • Robot Skills Ranking: If the Championship event in the team’s region is not filled to capacity through qualifying awards, teams may qualify through the World Skills Standings sorted for the Event Region and by grade level. Teams invited through Robot Skills Challenge Rankings are invited in ranked order after the results of the last qualifying event in the region have been posted. Scores earned after this date will not be used to qualify teams to their Championship.

  • Waitlist: If there is remaining capacity due to teams not accepting the invite after the Robot Skills Rankings invites have been issued, the capacity will either be lowered, and the event will be closed, or teams will be invited from the waitlist. This will be decided by the REC Foundation Manager.
