Welcome

To the FVL VEX Experience! Teams of all ages will be competing in the VEX Robotics Competition hoping to take home the trophy and earn a spot in the Wisconsin VEX State Championship.

Participant Consent Forms

All team members and coaches need to turn in a electronic Participant Consent Form.

Volunteering

We need lots of volunteers to make this event successful. We are asking that any program that registers more than 3 teams to the event to provide one adult volunteer to serve as a judge for each team past 3 teams registered. Please see the volunteer tab for more info and to sign up to volunteer.

Event Apparel for Sale

We will have special event apparel for sale at the tournament.

Parking and Event Map

All the events will take place on the lower level of the campus. Competitors and spectators may enter the building at entrance K. Go to Documents for an event and parking map.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Friday, February 13:

Setup: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Optional Inspection, Pit setup, and Skills: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Coaches and parents asked to assist as they are able)

Saturday, February 14:

Doors Open: 7:00 AM

Registration and Inspection: 7:30 AM

Skills Field Opens: 8:30 AM (Skills Field Closes at End of Qualification Rounds)

Drivers and Coaches Meeting: 9:00 AM

Qualification Matches: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Break: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM

Qualification Matches: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Alliance Selection: 4:15 PM - 4:30 PM

Elimination Rounds: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Awards Presentation: 6:00 PM

Note: We will do our best to stay on schedule, but times may change depending on flow of event.

Volontario

An event like this takes many volunteers to make it a success. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up on the appropriate form below.

This year we are asking team that would like to register more than 3 teams to provide a volunteer to serve as a judge for each team beyond 3 that they bring to the event (e.g. if a program would like to bring 4 teams to the event, they will provide at least one judge volunteer). Special incentive for Judge Volunteers!

With an event this large we are espcially in need of judge volunteers. As an incentive and a Thank You for judging, judges will be able to choose from one of the following Thank You gifts:

  • $50 voucher to Fine Designs Event Apparel (useable at this event or the WI VEX Robotics State Championship)

If inclement weather forces a cancellation or rescheduling, the event page will be updated to give details.

Refund and Payment Policies

All registration fees must be paid two weeks prior to the event.

Any teams that cancel earlier than two weeks may request a refund minus a 20% fee.

Any teams that cancel later than two weeks prior to the event may not receive a refund.

Teams that register less than two weeks before the event must pay at time of registration. The registration fee will be non-refundable.

Formato Giudizio

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

The INNOVATE Award will be given out at this tournament. Teams that would like to be considered for this award should complete the Innovate Award Submission Information Form and include it in the beginning of their Engineering Notebook:
