Notes: All teams need to be checked in and pass inspection by 8:00 PM on Thursday or in contact with the event coordinator. Teams that have not checked in by that time will not be allowed to participate.

Note: To accommodate a single division of 120 teams, four Competition Fields comprised of two field sets will be used at this event. Match cycle times are planned for 2 minutes 30 seconds.  If behind schedule, two matches can be started at the same time.

Teams are advised to watch events.vex.com for weather or emergency related cancellations.   If the tournament must be cancelled or postponed, the name of the tournament on events.vex.com will include the words "cancelled" or "postponed".  In the event of a cancellation or postponement, teams will be sent additional information via Email.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

This situation is highly unlikely and an 80% refund will be provided.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Teams have two weeks after registering to pay for this event.  Unpaid teams will be moved to the waitling list.  Unpaid registrations can only hold a team's spot at this event for a short two weeks.  Once a team has paid the registration fee, no refunds will be given.  

Bloomington MN Travel & Tourism Housing Requirement:

The rebates earned through this website are a significant part of the event budget and are used to measure economic impact metrics.  On July 1st the Event Partner will Audit the hotel reservation and Signature Event registrations.  Teams registered for the event without a corresponding hotel room risk being removed from the event and losing their $450 registration fee.  Reminder once a team has paid for this event there are no refunds.  See event travel info for more about booking hotels.

• In the Company Name field, enter your VEX V5 Team Number and Letter (e.g., Company Name: 1080P).

• This is how we match your hotel reservation to your team registration on RobotEvents.com.

•  Teams without verified MMX bookings will be flagged and risk being removed from the tournament.

•  If you booked through MMXreservations but forgot to include your team number/letter, please contact the Event Partner immediately.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Registering for this event is a commitment to attend and compete. Unpaid teams have 2 weeks after their registration date to make payment on events.vex.com.  Teams who fail to pay 2 weeks after registering, will be moved to the waitlist and lose their reserved spot. Contact the event partner immediately if there are payment concerns.
