Highland is proud to present this year's VEX IQ Robotics Competition, LEVEL UP! Highland Robotics has a long history and tradition of hosting robotics competitions and we are excited to invite you and your teams to this early-season event!
This year we will host two SEPARATE & SIMULTANEOUS events. Elementary and Middle School teams will run as two separate events, but will run simultaneously. Half of our gymnasium will be dedicated to elementary teams and half will be dedicated to middle school teams.
The event will showcase 2 competition fields for elementary teams and 2 competition fields for middle school teams. We will also have at least 2 skills fields.
FOOD:
- Lunch will be provided to all participants...pizza & bottled water
- There will be a hospitality room provided for advisors and volunteers
- A full concession stand will be available with drinks, snacks, and a selection of hot items
MATCHES & JUDGING
- Each team will have six qualifying matches.
- The top 20 ranked teams will advance to the Finals matches.
- Please familiarize yourself and your teams with the over under official rules. The GAME MANUAL is a good place to start!
MISC. INFO
- All pit tables will have access to power. Please bring surge protector/power strips to make sure you have enough outlets for your team.
- We will have a dedicated WiFi network available for teams to access during this event. This was set up specifically for teams that will need access to online programming software during the event. Please make sure your school laptops are set up correctly in order for you to have access while you are away from your school building.

In the event of bad weather, we will make every attempt to contact all coaches by email, phone or text, as well as make announcements through social media of any changes of the event or the event schedule.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
- A full refund will be given if the Event needs to be cancelled by the EP.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- If cancelling more than a month prior to the tournament, a full refund will be processed.
- If there is less than a month left before the event, there will be a 50% refund processed.
- If there is less than two weeks left before the event, then no refund will be given.
- If there are teams on the waitlist that are willing to replace a cancelling team, then a full refund will be given no matter how much time is left before the tournament.
Refund Processing
The Event Partner will issue the refund using their standard refund process, which may include mailing a check or another payment method at the Event Partner's discretion. Examples include:
- If payment was made by check, the Event Partner may issue a refund by check to the school's or organization's business office.
- If payment was made through a purchase order or other invoicing process, the Event Partner may issue a refund according to their organization's financial procedures.
Payment Deadline
Payment is due within 7 days of registration. Teams that have not paid by the payment deadline may be moved to the waitlist to make room for another team. The Event Partner requests communication should there be any delays with processing payment.
Format oceny
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
