Competition Information:

The UNO VURC Competition is hosted by the UNO VURC team who is supported by the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the College of Information Science & Technology. The event will be held in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC), taking advantage of its multiple floors, open spaces, and modern facilities to create an engaging competition environment. In addition to the matches, participants and guests will have opportunities to learn about campus life, connect with staff and students to see how education extends beyond VEX robotics.

The competition will feature 3 fields in a single division, with 32 teams advancing into the elimination bracket. Each team will compete in at least 6 qualification matches, and the finalized schedule for judging, skills, and matches can be found in the agenda tab. Judging will take place in the pits, and stop during lunch. Teams must bring printed copies of their engineering notebook to be considered for judged awards.

Parental/Guardian Consent:

Per the UNO Youth Activities Safety Guidelines, students will not be allowed to participate in the event unless the consent form sent to coaches, given to students, signed by parents is complete. This form needs to be completed for each student and is not covered by the VEX release form. Coaches will be required to supervise students who have not had the form completed separately from the competition space until they find a ride home or have the form completed. Please ensure all particpants have had their form filled out so they may participate. Students may leave campus for extracurricular activities, and will be given a wrist band upon leaving, and can be taken off when returned.

An updated roster of students who have turned in their forms will be available upon request and will be emailed to coaches up until the event day. All participants must adhere to the same university safety standards or they will not be allowed to enter the event space. All visitors must stay within the allotted space for the event and adhere to the VEX manual for conduct. 

Parking:

There is open parking on campus on the day of the event, and large vehicle parking can be accommodated, please see travel info. Out-of-region teams are welcome to sign up for our event and travel support for parking or hotels could potentialy be given if asked. Registration Information:

All participating teams must be registered with VEX Robotics and the Robot Events website and have their official team number for this event.  All registration fees must be paid in full no later than two weeks before the event (Nov. 7th, 2026).  Failure to comply may result in your team(s) being removed from the event. Registration fees must be paid before teams are allowed to compete, and if there is any problems or concerns please reach out to [email protected].
