Informacje ogólne
Registration Information
All participating teams must be registered with VEX Robotics and the Robot Events website and have an official team number before registering for this event. Tournament fees must be paid before teams are allowed to compete.
Engineering notebooks
We will be collecting Physical engineering notebooks at this event for judging.
Lunch and Concessions
Full concessions will be available from 9 am to 3 pm. Lunch vouchers are being provided by Visit Greater Grand Forks. Each student will recieve a voucher for a hot dog, chips, pop and a cookie.
Happy Camper Coffee will be available in the morning.
Elimination Matches
Number of elimination alliances: 32+ teams = 16 alliances in finals
Competition Preparation
All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.

Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Robots must use VEX V5 parts. Please self inspect before arriving at the tournament using the VEX V5 Inspection Checklist – Global Robotics & Science Foundation

Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on VEX Events

Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

Prep for your interviews with the judges and read the Judges – Global Robotics & Science Foundation. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.

Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby, as teams are close to each other in the venue pit area. Also, remember no grinding or other actions that create sparks, ask the tournament director for a safe location if grinding is needed.

Ensure that you have the latest version of programming software and firmware for your V5 Brain.
Participation and Consent Form
A completed form for all participants must be uploaded to events.vex.com prior to the tournament. Team leaders will need to check that all team members attending the event have completed the online consent form prior to the tournament. Tentative Agenda – Subject to Change
IMPORTANT! If your team will be late, you must call the Event Partner (Primary Contact on the General Info tab). If your team is not checked-in on time, the match schedule will be run without your team and they cannot compete. The match schedule CANNOT be run after the tournament begins.
Team Judging will be held in the Pits. Please make yourselves available to the Judges when they show up at your Pit table. If you have a match upcoming shortly, respectfully inform the Judges and agree on a time when you will meet with them at your Pit table.
7:30 am - Doors Open, check in begins
7:30 am - 9:00 am - Inspections
All Teams Need to BE CHECKED IN BY 8:30 AM or call the Event Partner
9:00 am - Drivers Meeting and Opening Ceremony (Robots in matches Q1 and Q2 placed on the field before the start of opening)
9:30 am Qualification Rounds begin, judging begins shortly after
10:00 am - Skills Field Opens, until then it may be used as a practice field.
9:30 am to 3:30 pm - Qualification Rounds
3:30 pm - Skills Field Closes
3:45 pm - Alliance Selection
4:00 pm - Elimination Rounds Start
5:30 pm - Award announcements - Closing (Teardown following - Please help if able)

If our school district closes activities due to weather, this event may be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled. Please check the General Info tab on the event website; updates will be posted as they become available. The safety of teams, coaches, parents, and volunteers always comes first. If the weather looks threatening, adults should exercise their own judgment when deciding to travel or allowing their children to travel.

Format oceny
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
