Cardinal Classic V5RC

The Cardinal Classic V5RC tournament will be held on Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16, 2027 at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD.  We're looking forward to having your team compete!

5:00 pm : Doors Open to Public
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm : Early Inspections and Skills Fields Open

(Note that teams are encouraged to come early with their robot.  The pit area will be locked overnight and you'll be ready to go in the morning!  Check-In registration must still be completed on Saturday morning!)

7:30 am : Doors Open to Public
7:45 am to 8:45 am : Registration and Inspections
8:45 am to 9:00 am : Drivers Meeting
9:00 am to 12:00 pm : Qualification Matches
12:00 pm to 12:30 pm : Lunch
12:30 pm to 2:00 pm : Qualification Matches
2:00 pm to 2:15 pm : Alliance Selection
2:30 pm to 4:30 pm : Eliminations & Awards
5:00 pm : Event clean up

Skills Fields

Skills Fields will be open from 5:30 to 8:00 on Friday and 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, or until all qualification matches have been completed.

Running on Schedule is Important

Our goal is to have teams compete in at least 6 matches total during qualifications. Matches will run at about 1 match every 2.5 minutes.

Wolontariusz

Volunteers are always key to a successful competition.  There are many opportunities available for volunteers of all experience levels.  We're happy to train you "on the job!"  To volunteer for this event, please contact David Mullaly [email protected] or sign up using the link below.

Polityka w sytuacjach awaryjnych/złej pogody

Our event has historically had to deal with bad weather due to our timing in January.  Calvert Hall has a private contracting service to quickly remove snow and ice from walkways and parking lots.  Because we are a private school, we will do everything possible to host the event, even if public school policies close school on Friday.  Stay tuned to this website for additional information as the event approaches.  Please monitor e-mail on the day of the event for bulk information as well.

In the event of postponement, we will attempt to hold the event at a later date (TBD - Saturday only).

Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis but are not guaranteed.  Because this event traditionally has a wait list, we request payment at the earliest possible date.  Unpaid registrations are subject to cancellation.  Contact David Mullaly via e-mail ([email protected]) for inquiries.

Format oceny

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
