3215: Clarification on SG10: Accumulation of Match Affecting threshold points for Minor Violations

CSTU
22-Aug-2026

<SG10> Rule SG10 states that a Minor Violation of this rule incurs a 15-point Match Affecting threshold value (or equivalent assessment for minor violations). We would like to request clarification on how these 15-point threshold values are calculated and accumulated during a Match.

Question 1: Accumulation across multiple Robots/Violations Are these 15-point threshold values cumulative across multiple Minor Violations within the same Alliance?

Example: If Red1 commits one Minor Violation (15 points) and Red2 also commits one Minor Violation (15 points) in the same Match, is the total threshold accumulated towards Match Affecting status calculated as 30 points, or is the threshold capped at 15 points per Alliance regardless of the number of violations?

Question 2: Accumulation based on affected Scoring Objects per Violation Does the 15-point threshold scale based on the number of Scoring Objects affected in a single action/violation?

Example: If a single illegal action by one Robot results in removing multiple Scoring Objects (e.g., removing 1 Pin and 1 Cup simultaneously), is the threshold value calculated as a scaled multiplier: 15 points × [number of removed scoring objects] (resulting in 30 points for 2 objects)? Or is a single action counted as a single 15-point Minor Violation regardless of the quantity of objects removed?

Thank you for your time and clarification!
