Informações Gerais
We invite your team to our annual Sandpiper VEX IQ Robotics Tournament. This year's challenge Level Up will be fun and action-packed.
We prepare for months to host a well-run and fun tournament which will ensure an outstanding experience for your team. All teams will be able to compete in the Teamwork Challenge, Skills Challenge (Driver and Programming), and Judging. We strive to provide an organized and exciting tournament for all teams.
Teams may bring a competition field to practice, but must place it in designated areas, and share the use of the field and game elements with all other participants.
We look forward to seeing you at the tournament!
Competition Events:
- Teamwork
- Robot Skills: Driver and Programming
- In-Person Team Judging
*** The Physical Engineering Notebook will be turned in at the check-in table and returned during the elimination rounds. ***
Please note: all events will receive Northern California Regional Championship award bids based on the official Global Robotics Qualifying Criteria. As such, this event must meet all requirements for a Qualifying Event to receive bids to the state championship released earlier this year.

Política de Emergência/Condições Climáticas Adversas
Event will take place, rain or shine. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your events.vex.com account as this is the information that will be used to contact your team.
Políticas de reembolso e pagamento
Payment:
- Primary and Secondary Coaches will be contacted by email 3-weeks prior to the event to remind them to complete payment within a week. Make sure this contact information is up-to-date.
- Teams that registered but have not paid or submitted a valid PO 2-weeks prior to the event will be sent a final reminder to immediately complete payment.
- If full payment is not received within 24 hours of this second reminder, non-paying teams will be removed from the event and those spots opened up for waitlist teams, unless a special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.
- If payment of fees is a hardship for a team, please reach out to the Event Partner to explain the situation. In extraordinary circumstances, we may be able to make special arrangements to waive some or all of the fee.
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
- Full refunds will be issued with 5 days.
If a team completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- No refunds will be granted because the organization incurs expenses upfront to organize the event.
- Upon request, we may consider moving the team to the next event that we are hosting in the season, if there is one.
- Team swaps/trades will only be permitted until the week prior to the tournament date.
- Teams are responsible for their own transportation, food, hotel costs and other such expenses.
Formato de Julgamento
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
Team Swapping
Please refer to the Global Robotics policy on Team Swapping:
Swapping will be available until 2 weeks before the start of the event. In particular, "the incoming team must be from the same organization and not already registered for three or more events."
