Voluntário

Volunteers are essential to the success of our robotics tournaments! Our events are run with the support of dedicated volunteers who help us provide a positive, organized, and exciting competition experience for our students. We rely on volunteers to help with judging, field reset, check-in, concessions, team support, and other tournament-day responsibilities.

Whether you are a parent, teacher, robotics mentor, high school student, community member, or simply someone who wants to support STEM education, we would love to have you join us!

Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering. A volunteer sign-up link will be added in the coming days.

We truly appreciate our volunteers—without their time and support, we could not host these events for our students!

Política de Emergência/Condições Climáticas Adversas

The safety of our students, coaches, volunteers, and families is our highest priority. In the event of inclement weather or an emergency, this tournament will follow Chesapeake Public Schools (CPS) operating and activity guidelines.

If Chesapeake Public Schools closes schools and cancels activities due to weather or another emergency, the tournament will be cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

In the event of a cancellation by the Event Partner due to inclement weather or another unforeseen circumstance, registration fees will be refunded minus any applicable administrative or processing fees charged by Global Robotics and Sciece Foundation.

Políticas de reembolso e pagamento

Teams are responsible for completing payment by January 15. Teams that have registered but have not paid by January 15 will be removed from the event unless prior payment arrangements have been made with the Event Partner.

No refunds will be provided for teams that register but are unable to attend. The Event Partner incurs expenses in advance to organize and prepare for the tournament, including facility, equipment, staffing, and other event-related costs.

A refund will only be issued if:

  • The tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather or an emergency in accordance with the policy above; or
  • The Event Partner must cancel the tournament for another unforeseen reason.

Any refund will be issued minus applicable administrative or processing fees, if applicable.

Teams are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, meals, and other travel-related expenses. These expenses will not be reimbursed by the Event Partner.

Health and Safety Policies

The health and safety of our students, coaches, volunteers, judges, and spectators is our top priority. We ask that all participants help us maintain a healthy and safe tournament environment.

Please do not attend the tournament if you are experiencing symptoms of illness, including but not limited to:

  • Fever or chills
  • Persistent or significant coughing
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Unexplained rash
  • Other significant symptoms of a contagious illness

Participants who arrive exhibiting significant symptoms of illness may be asked to leave the event.

If you are experiencing mild respiratory symptoms but are otherwise able to participate, wearing a well-fitting mask is strongly encouraged to help protect other participants.

Teams, coaches, volunteers, and families are encouraged to practice good hand hygiene, cover coughs and sneezes, and avoid close contact with others when sick.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping us provide a safe and healthy environment for all of our robotics teams. When in doubt, please stay home and help us keep our students and volunteers healthy.
