Informações Gerais
Highland is proud to present this year's VEX V5 Robotics Competition, OVERRIDE! Highland Robotics has a long history and tradition of hosting robotics competitions and we are excited to invite you and your teams to our league event!
The competition will be held in our robotics room at Highland Middle School. We will have pit areas set up in our cafeteria for your students. There will be two competition fields available each evening. We'll run qualifying matches on one field and have the other set up for skills runs. Each team will get 3 driver and 3 autonomous runs each league night. Should our qualifiing matches finish up, we'll set that up for anyone that wants to run more skills runs as necessary.
The league will span for 4 nights. The first three nights will be skills runs and qualifing matches. On the last night, teams will be interviewed by our judges and Engineering Notebooks will be examined. Additionally, we will start the night with Alliance Selection and run our Elimination Tournament to determine League Champions. Other judged awards will be determined accordingly. The nights of our league will be as follows:
Night #1 (Qualifiying): November 16, 2026 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Night #2 (Qualifying): December 15, 2026 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Night #3 (Qualifying): January 19, 2027 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Night #4 (Judging and Finals): February 16, 2027 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
There is limited space in the classroom area where the competitions will be held. Thus this event will have no spectators allowed. League qualifying matches will be livestreamed via our Highland Robotics YouTube channel.
FOOD:
- We will have a small concession stand open with light snacks.
- You may bring your own food, but please limit it to the pit areas in our cafeteria.
- If desired, a list of area restaurants can be sent if you would like to order food for your teams.
MISC. INFO
- All pit tables will have access to power. Please bring surge protector/power strips to make sure you have enough outlets for your team.
- We will have a dedicated WiFi network available for teams to access during this event. This was set up specifically for teams that will need access to online programming software during the event. Please make sure your school laptops are set up correctly in order for you to have access while you are away from your school building.
- Are your teams ready? Be sure to check out the GAME MANUAL for complete details regarding OVERRIDE.
