Arrival:

  • Enter through Door 31 at the NW corner of the High School.
  • Bus and parking available in lot .
  • Student waivers must be completed online.
  • Check in immediately upon entry.
  • Physicsl Copies of the Engineer’s Notebooks submitted at Check-in.
  • Competition Arena located in the Commons.
  • Team Pits located in the commons. Power will be provided as much as possible, but feel free to bring your own power strips
  • Concessions available. (Snack  items and pizza orders for lunch.)
  • Facility is ADA accessible.

3 Competition arenas.  2 Skills arenas: This space will also be hosting a MS V5 tournament concurrently.

We are unable to provide practice fields, but if anyone would like to bring theirs, just let me know.

Schedule (Subject to change):

7:30 AM              Doors Open & Registration

7:45-8:45            Inspection, and Practice (Practice open on all Competition fields)

8:45-9:00            Drivers meeting, Announcements and Introductions

9:00-9:10            Opening Ceremony and National Anthem

9:15-12:00 PM    Qualification Matches and Skills Challenge

12:00-12:30        Lunch (Please visit our concession stand or Order Pizzas!)

12:30-3:00          Qualification Matches and Skills Challenge

3:00-3:30            Alliance Selection

3:30-5:00            Elimination Matches and Championship

5:00-5:20            Awards and Closing Ceremony

We welcome any and all volunteers for this event! Please contact Jay Drew [email protected] if you would like to volunteer!

I will especially need scorekeeper referees and skills folks if you have anyone available. I'll send out an email with volunteer info closer to the event.

In the event of bad weather cancellations please visit the event on events.vex.com I will post updates about the event status as needed in the General description. It is the policy of Duneland Schools to follow the recommendations of local, county, and state authorities. If there is a travel advisory or state of emergency declared for Chesterton, Porter County, or Indiana, the event will be cancelled. Otherwise, we will be holding the event. Please make the safest decision for you and your teams.

Coaches will be notified by email in the event of a cancellation.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:  Refunds will be provided.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be provided. 

Payment Deadline is February 19th, 2027. Not paying by this date may mean that your team may be placed on the waitlist to make room for another team.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
