Some rules change during the Endgame period. Robots may not Place Scoring Objects on the Midfield Goal during the Endgame period. Robots that attempt to end the Match in the Midfield should expect vigorous interactions from opposing Robots, and must accept increased risk of becoming Entangled or being tipped, especially when vertically expanded. When a Robot is contacting or engaging with the Midfield, or is in proximity to the Midfield, incidental damage that is caused by opposing Robots pushing, tipping, or becoming Entangled with them would not be considered a Violation of <GG14>. Intentional damage or dangerous mechanisms may still be considered a Violation of <S1> or <G1> at the Head Referee’s discretion. Violation Notes: Most Violations of this rule should be considered Minor Violations. However, repeated Minor Violations can escalate to a Major Violation at the Head Referee’s discretion, especially in cases where Violations occur after multiple prior warnings. Violations involving Scoring Objects Placed on the Midfield Goal that change the outcome of the Match in favor of the offending Robot’s Alliance will be considered Match Affecting Violations.
