Load Zones are protected during the Driver Controlled Period of the Match.• A Robot is protected while it is at least partially within one of its Alliance Load Zones. Robots may not directly or indirectly contact a protected opposing Alliance Robot.
• Robots may only enter an opposing Alliance Load Zone momentarily (e.g., while passing through or to retrieve a Scoring Object); Robots may not remain within an opposing Alliance Load Zone.
• Robots may not cause Scoring Objects to accumulate within an opposing Alliance Load Zone.
• Robots may not add Scoring Objects to, or remove them from, opposing Alliance-colored Loaders.
The intent of this rule is to protect Load Zones from intentional interference by the opposing Alliance (i.e., obstructing the Load Zone in an effort to inhibit Loader access). This rule does not apply during the Autonomous Period.
Violation Notes: Egregious Violations will be considered Major Violations. Repeated Minor Violations can escalate to a Major Violation at the Head Referee’s discretion, especially in cases where Violations occur after multiple prior warnings.
