Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

**Note - all teams need to be checked in by 4:00 pm on Thursday night or in contact with the event coordinator. Teams that have not checked in by that time will not be allowed to participate. Teams also must be paid before they will not allowed to compete.

Thursday, March 5

3:00 p.m. - Pits and inspections open - Haus C
4:00 p.m. - Check In Closes
4:30 p.m. - Drive Team Meeting - Each team should send 1 Drive Team Member to Terry Haws A
5:00 p.m. - Inspection Closes
5:30 p.m. - Opening Ceremony - Haus A all Divisions
5:50 p.m. - Qualification Rounds - Haus A.  Skills open in Haws B
8:05 p.m. - End Qualifications
8:30 p.m. - Venue closes
 

Friday, March 6

8:00 a.m. - Venue Opens
8:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremony - Parade of Teams - Haus A all Divisions
9:30 a.m. - Qualifications Rounds - Haus A
12:15 p.m. - Lunch - On your own - Concessions or local - No food brought in
1:00 p.m. - Speaker - TBD - Haus A all Divisions
1:25 p.m. - Qualifications Rounds - Haus A
3:45 p.m. - End Qualification Rounds

Due to the size of this event, this event will not be cancelled. If bad weather was to occur, use your own descretion on attending the event. Some suggestions are to come a day early to get ahead of the weather, or stay a day later to avoid bad weather. 

Refund and Payment Policies

No refunds will be issued for this event for any reason. 

All teams will be required to pay the registration fee before arriving to the State Championship.  No team will be allowed to compete without paying the registration fee.

Per RECF deadlines:

• Teams that qualify for an Event Region Championship on or before January 31, 2026, will have two weeks to register and pay by credit card, check or purchase order
• Teams that qualify for an Event Region Championship on or after February 1, 2026, will have one week to register and pay by credit card, check or purchase order

The State Championship will be held at the St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center (10 4th Ave S, St Cloud, MN 56301).

Parking Info

City of St. Cloud parking rules and regulations will be enforced during the event. Hours of enforcement are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Ramp parking is NOT enforced weekend nights after 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM and all day on weekends.  Learn more about St. Cloud parking rates on the City of St. Cloud's website.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
