Congratulations on earning a spot at the 2026 LAUSD VIQRC Elementary School Conference Championship!
Teams may be moved to the Waitlist if they have not completed the payment by February 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM according to robotevents.com.
Event updates will be sent via email to the Team Contacts for your team on RobotEvents.com. Please keep your Team Contacts up to date to ensure that you receive them.
All initial judging will be done Remotely. Digital Engineering Notebooks and Remote Judging Sign-Up Forms will be due by Monday, February 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Team interviews will be scheduled in the order that sign-up forms are received. Details will be in the Remote Judging tab on the event webpage and in event update emails.
Coaches, Principals, and Key Volunteers can register for parking in the gated parking structure on Mayflower Ave between E 57th St and E 58th St. Other participants and guests can park on neighboring streets and enter campus via the gate on on Mayflower Ave at E 58th St. The event will be held in the Gymnasium on the second floor of the building south of the parking structure . Stairs provide main entrance to the gym, but a small elevator is available.
We plan to have four Teamwork competition fields, two Robot Skills competition fields, and eight practice fields.
Teams may set up their own practice fields in the courtyard outside the Gym, but they will need to keep someone at their pit table who can contact them on request to ensure that they do not miss any matches or follow-up judging interviews.
Food and beverages and customizable championship apparel will be available for purchase. The championship apparel that will be available can be viewed or ordered for shipment at the Fine Designs Store:.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

9:00 AM Team Check In ends. ALL TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT NEED TO BE CHECKED IN OR WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE MATCH SCHEDULE.
9:10 AM Robot Inspection ends. Pits CLOSED.
9:15 AM Team/Driver Meeting, Pits CLOSED.
9:30 AM Opening Ceremony, Pits CLOSED.
9:40 AM Pits reopen.
9:45 AM Matches and Judging begin.
12:00 PM Lunch break. Skills matches continue.
1:00 PM Matches and Judging resume.
3:30 PM Matches and Judging end.
3:45 PM Finals Matches and Awards Ceremony.
4:30 PM Pits/event close. Cleanup begins.

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your robotevents.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Full refunds minus the $5.00 processing fee will be provided if the event is cancelled.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Full refunds minus the $5.00 processing fee may be provided at the discretion of the Event Partner.
Teams will be moved to the wait list if they have not completed the payment by February 16, 2024 according to robotevents.com.

Remote Judging Details

Each team must submit a Remote Judging Sign-Up Form by the Remote Judging Deadline to be scheduled for a Remote Judging Team Interview.

- Include link for Team Photo.
- The Team Photo should include students, coaches, mentors, and robot with license plate visible.
- The Team Photo could be used in a program book.
- Include Remote Judging Team Interview schedule preferences in 2-hour blocks.
- Each team must submit a Link for their Digital Engineering Notebook by the Remote Judging Deadline to be eligible for all judged awards except Judges Award.
- Teams that created hardcopy Engineering Notebooks can convert them to Digital Engineering Notebooks. For example:
- Scan each page and submit them as a PDF (preferred).
- Photograph each page and submit them as a Photo Gallery.
- Teams that created hardcopy Engineering Notebooks can convert them to Digital Engineering Notebooks. For example:
- All Remote Judging Team Interview participants (students and one adult) must submit the online Participant Release Form by the Remote Judging Deadline.
- Your team members should have already done this for previous events.
- Any team member who does not have a Participant Release Form on file might not be allowed to participate in a Remote Judging Team Interview.
- If the adult team member does not have a Participant Release Form on file, the team might not be allowed to participate in a Remote Judging Team Interview.
- The Remote Judging Interview Schedule will be available shortly after the Remote Judging Deadline.

- Team Interviews will be limited to 12 minutes.
- Team Interviews will follow a script based on the Team Interview Rubric.
- Team members should be prepared to show judges their robot construction and the most creative features of their robot.

Volunteer to be a Remote Judge
- Coaches, mentors, and other adults are invited to volunteer as Remote Judges for events that their affiliated teams are not attending. Additional volunteer Information is available on the Remote Judge Sign-Up Form:
