常规信息
Notebook and Interview workshop will have individuals or teams (if individuals register from the same VEX team) working together to develop a notebook at this workshop for a pretend VEX style game. A game with scoring criteria will be introduced at the very beginning and then best practices and tools will be presented for individuals to use in the development of an engineering notebook. Interview techniques and tips will be discussed as well and then mock interviews will be done with workshop members who are experienced in past VEX event judging. Workshop volunteers include Emilie (338A - Iterated), Timmy (formerly 338A - Itereated and currently Louie), and their coach, Dr. Osborne.
This workshop is geared towards high school and middle school students doing VEX V5RC, but the same techniques are applicable in VEX IQ. As we intend to have attendees generate notebook entries at the event, it is best to have a laptop or Chromebook for creating digital entries but not mandatory.
Each attendee must be registered and paid. For help, click the PDF link Workshop Registration. Current VEX coaches can register team members or parents can create a new account and register a child.
Lunch of pizza will be provided.
