UPDATE: Final session moved to Friday, January 31, 2020
The first scheduled event on October 11 has been cancelled due to unsafe air quality from the Saddleback Fire . NOW November 1st is the 1st event and a NEW date of Thursday Nov 14th has been added as the 2nd event. (The other 2 dates, in December and January, remain unchanged.)
This league is primarily for teams from Middle schools in LAUSD Local District Northwest. This league will be meeting in the Multi-Purpose Room.
When you register for this league, please choose Pay Later as your Payment Method and bring a league fee check for $150 per team payable to Mulholland Robotics to the first league session
Each session begins with Team Check-in and Robot Inspection. Teams need to check in by 4:30 PM and robots need to pass inspection by 4:45 PM to be included in the Teamwork Challenge match schedule.
At Team Check for the first session, teams turn in release forms and league fee checks and sign up to provide one volunteer for at least one league session.
At the three Qualifying Sessions, each team will be scheduled in four Teamwork Challenge Qualifying Matches.
STEM Research Project videos are due by Friday, December 20, 2019, the last school day before the winter break. Submit a link to your YouTube or SchoolTube video at: https://forms.gle/47S8pdGuwXvCAASp7
At Team Check-in for the final Championship session in January, teams turn in Engineering Notebooks. Robot Skills Challenge Matches are not scheduled. Teams may participate in up to three Driving Skills Matches and up to three Programming Skills matches while Judges are reviewing Engineering Notebooks and interviewing teams. The Championship session concludes with Teamwork Challenge Finals Matches and Awards.
Teams need to provide at least one volunteer for at least one session. If we do not have enough volunteers, we may not be able to complete all scheduled matches. See the Volunteer tab for details.
We will have three competition fields and three practice fields at each session.

Volunteer

Refund and Payment Policies
Full refunds minus the $5.00 processing fee will be available until one week before the first session. After that, refunds based on special circumstances may be made at the discretion of the event partner.
STEM Research
This season the STEM Research Project is presented as a 4-minute video plus 15 seconds of credits that the team records and uploads to SchoolTube, YouTube, or a similar online video platform. A link to the video must be submitted by Friday, December 20, 2019, the last school day before the winter break. Follow these steps:
- Please refer to the **STEM Research Project and Presentation** document from the REC Foundation. The document can be found in the VEX IQ Challenge Team Resources area at https://www.roboticseducation.org
- Record the STEM Presentation as a video following the instructions in the STEM Research Project and Presentation document.
- Upload the video to one of the online video resources following the instructions in the STEM Research Project and Presentation document.
- Have the coach or another adult submit a link to your YouTube or SchoolTube video at:
https://forms.gle/47S8pdGuwXvCAASp7 - Teams WILL NOT be interviewed by judges at the event, unless the event qualifies teams directly to VEX Worlds. Please refer to the STEM Research Project and Presentation document for details.
- Only ONE submission allowed per team. If two or more video links are sent to the Event Partner, only the first link received will be considered.
- The winner of the STEM Research Project Award will be announced with the other judged awards at the event.
