General Info

Welcome to the ECU VEX Robotics Western Australia Championships hosted by Carey Baptist College. We warmly welcome all participating teams and wish you the best of luck in this exciting event. Get ready to showcase your robotics skills, innovation, and teamwork as you compete alongside other talented teams. We have gathered important information to ensure your participation goes smoothly and you have an enjoyable experience. Please take note of the following details:

  1. Event Location: The robotics competition will take place at Carey Baptist College in Harrisdale. The venue provides an excellent setting for teams to showcase their robotics skills and compete in a supportive and engaging environment.

  2. Check-in and Inspection: Teams can check in on Wednesday, the 11th of October, between 2 PM and 5 PM at the venue or on Thursday, the 12th of October. Teams that don't check in on Wednesday are asked to arrive early on Thursday to allow time for check-in and inspection. Before arriving for check-in and robot inspection, please complete a Robot Inspection Checklist and have your Engineering Notebook printed and ready to submit.

  3. Arrival and Departure Times: We kindly request all teams to plan for arrival before 8:30 AM on the event day. The competition is expected to run until approximately 4:00 PM. Please be aware that traffic around the school can be busy from 8.15 AM. Please note that these times may be subject to change closer to the event, depending on the number of teams registered. We will keep all participants informed of any schedule adjustments.

  4. Participants may bring their own food and drink. Food Sales: Food and drinks will be available at the adjacent Timber café; for menu information, please check the website: Timber (timbercafe.com.au)

  5. Before arriving at the competition, read these Tips for Teams to Prepare for VEX IQ Challenge Events

  6. Further Assistance: Our team is dedicated to providing a memorable and well-organised competition experience. If you have any general inquiries or require assistance regarding the event's operations, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team members, who will be present at the venue to provide guidance and support.
