Welcome to VEX IQ Robotics Competition Uganda 2024-25, 

Organised by the African School of Innovations Science and Technology in partnership with VEX Robotics.

This exciting program is open to all elementary school (ages 8-12) and middle school (ages 12-15)  students across Uganda.

This is a free event that will take place on 18th January 2025 at Teddy Bears Kindergarten Ntinda, near Capital Shoppers, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Competition Day:

  • 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM: Registration & Team Check-In
  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Robot Inspection
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Practice Rounds (Elementary / Middle School)
  • 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM: Break
  • 10:40 PM - 12:00 PM: VEX IQ Robotics Competition Matches: Skills and Teamwork Challenge (Elementary / Middle School)
  • 12:10 - 1:00 PM: final Matches
  • 1:00 - 2:00 PM: Closing and departure.

  • The schedule may be subject to change based on the number of participating teams during check-in.

In case of any bad weather, the event schedule will be adjusted according and you will be informed by phone call immediately.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, The team will be informed by email and phone call

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Should contact the event organiser as soon as possible.

 

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
