General Info

This VIQRC Event is for UK based teams only, places will be prioritised for North East Teams who have not qualified for UK Nationals.

We will look forward to you attending the 4rd Whickham School, Gateshead, VIQRC Regional in the North East.

We hope to make this bigger and better than previous ones, open to all VEX IQ Teams, both Elementery (Years 4-7) and Middle School (Years 7-10), you will need to check birthday rules too.

We have decided to run this on a Saturday due to positive comments from team mentors last year and the increased issues of teachers being allowed out of school. Thank you to Whickham School for providing the venue for free.

As it's a Saturday, there are plenty of car parking spaces. Should any teams want to bring their kit the night before, this can be arranged, please just get in touch.

Please bring refreshments and packed lunch for the day. However, we hope to have Whickham World Challenge pupils providing refeshments for a donation, to help with their fund raising. However, there are local shops close by.

There are 4 UK Nationals Spots available at this event, 2 for Tourament Champions and 2 for Robot Skills!

Robot Skills field opens at 10:30 to 14:30 (last team on the field at end is the last team on Robot Skills).

Volunteer

We plan to have some volunteers and judges.

Please get in touch if you're interested in volunteering, we need more volunteers in the North East, like scorers, Refs, Helpers!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Whickham School is just off the A1, up the hill from the Metro Centre, and is usually free from issues of weather.

However, if any adverse weather is forecasted we will decide upon the event continuation for everyone's safety, at least 24 hours before hand.

Refund and Payment Policies

This event is free, no refuds will be available.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
