Bring on the GirlPower!
Sunburst Elementary is excited to host a GirlPowered Invitational tournament for VIQRC GirlPowered teams!
We’d like to welcome 30 GirlPowered teams to our school to compete in our GirlPowered Invitational. This will be a qualifier for the Utah State Championship!*
We will run a full event with both Teamwork and Skills Challenges. This will be a qualifier for the Utah State Championship!*
Please note that we will NOT be accepting physical Engineering Notebooks for judging at this event. All notebook submissions should be submitted digitally no later than 6:00pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026. No engineering notebooks will be judged on the day of the event.
*Qualifying criteria must be met. If we have 10 ES and 10 MS teams register, two Excellence Awards will be given.
Concessions will be available to purchase at the event. All proceeds from the concessions will go to our VEX Robotics program to support and grow our program. Cash, Venmo, and card are currently being accepted.

**Judging will include judging for the Excellence, Design, and Innovate Awards. Teams wanting to be eligible for these awards, must submit a link to their digital engineering notebook no later than 6:00pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If weather makes traveling dangerous for teams, please stay home. If we must cancel the tournament due to dangerous weather situations, we will re-schedule if possible. As much notice due to inclement weather will be given as possible.
Refund and Payment Policies
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
-Refunds are given on a case-by-case basis, minus the $5.00 non-refundable RobotEvents fee.
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
-Due to weather we will work to reschedule the event or transfer your registration to another event.
-Due to insufficient team registrations, we will transfer your registration to another event.
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:
Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. All submissions must be made by 6:00pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
