General Info

Pickering College Robotics Scrimmage – Wednesday, November 5th (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Pickering College is excited to host a casual robotics scrimmage designed to help Ontario School Based teams prepare for the season in a low-stress, supportive environment. This event is focused on learning, collaboration, and practice rather than strict competition.

Event Purpose

  • Give students the chance to experience a real field setup in a relaxed setting.

  • Provide teams with feedback on their robots, inspections, and match readiness.

  • Allow pauses and breaks in matches so teams can troubleshoot, share ideas, and learn from each other.

  • Encourage communication and collaboration between teams rather than competition for awards.

Event Details

  • Date: Wednesday, November 5th

  • Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Location: Pickering College

  • Format: Informal practice matches, open discussion, and learning opportunities.

  • Advancement: This is a non-qualifying event — no awards will be given, and results will not count toward provincials.

Venue Information
To respect the facility, all participants (students, mentors, coaches, and parents) must follow these guidelines:

  • Indoor shoes are required in the gym, including fields and pit areas.

  • No robot construction or tool use on the gym floor. All tools and building must stay in the pit area.

Food & Lunch

Pizza lunch and snacks will be available for purchase:

  • Pizza (pepperoni, cheese, veggie): $3 per slice or $20 per box
  • Pop (Coke, 7Up, Fanta, iced tea): $2 per can

Teams are welcome to bring their own lunch if preferred.

Parking: School buses cannot park on-site, and they need to make alternative arrangements for the bus. They can do drop-off here at PC by Egan House. Guests arriving by car can either park on the baseball diamond or in front of the school.
