League Nights will be held 5:30pm - 8:00pm

Snow Day CANCELED - Monday, January 19 - Teamwork matches

Monday, February 2 - Teamwork matches
Monday, February 16 - League Championship. Teams will compete in the Skills Challenge. All teams will be paired up and participate in Finals Matches. Trophies will be awarded.
Event Location
The event will be held at the Grandville Robotics Competition Center located on the west side of Grandville Middle School. VEX IQ team members and parents should use the Grandville Middle School entrance off Canal Ave, at the intersection of Canal and Jacob. Enter through Door-O.
VEX IQ Fields
The VEX IQ fields used for the TEAMWORK matches and SKILLS will be on a raised platform.
Team Pits
Teams will be assigned a 6-foot pit table with 4 chairs. Coaches might want to bring a bag chair. Teams will have access to electricity in the pit area.
Registration Information
All participating teams must be registered with VEX Robotics and the Robot Events website and have an official team number before registering for this event. Tournament fees must be paid before teams are allowed to compete. Registration and payments should be made through the Robot Events website.
Food and Concessions
Teams may bring food to the event.
Finals Night
On February 5, the 4th week will be our League Championship. Teams will have an opportunity to compete in the Skills Challenge. If we have an even number of teams, all teams will be paired up and participate in Finals Matches. If we have an odd number of teams, the top 16 teams will be in the finals.
Competition Preparation
All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared:
Review all game information: Current Game Webpage
- Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Robots must use VEX IQ parts. Please self inspect before arriving at the tournament using the IQ
- Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
- Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on robotevents.com
- Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.
- Spare parts & tools
- Batteries and chargers
- Power strip and extension cord
- Laptop computer / Tablet
- Programming cable
- Banners and other decorations for your team pit table
- Ensure that you have the latest version of programming software and firmware for your IQ Brain.
Participation and Consent Form
A completed form for all participants must be uploaded to robotevents.com prior to the tournament. Team leaders will need to check that all team members attending the event have completed the online consent form prior to the tournament. Timeline
5:30 pm Doors open for teams to set up at their pit table. Teams enter through doors on the west side of the building.
5:40 - 6:10 pm robot inspection
6:20 start rounds (or sooner if robots are inspected and ready to go)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
VEX IQ League Weather Cancelation
VEX IQ League will be canceled if Grandville Public Schools cancels Evening Activities. We could have an instance where school is canceled during the day and the evening activities would still be held. Coaches will be emailed by 3pm on league night if we have to cancel because of weather. I will also post the cancelation on Grandville Robotics Facebook page.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
A refund will be given to all participants, minus the RobotEvents fee.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Refubds will not be given.
Webcast
This event will not be webcast.
