VEX IQ Robotics Competition Last Chance - Sumner County

This is an invitational event so only teams who have not made it to state will be invited.  Please add your team to the waitlist.  We will start adding teams on 1/15.  If your team qualifies at another event, let us know and you can be removed from the list.  Thank you.

We are excited to see you all on January 31st for our First Sumner County Last Chance Event.  This year we are trying to do a blitz format so you can get on with your day.  We will have a short break for lunch, and encourage teams to pack a sack lunch. 

Our goal is to be done by 3pm.  

 

Emails

All information about this event will be emailed and can also be found on this website. It is important that you begin looking for emails from me after January 25th. You should get at least one email. Please check your junk, clutter or spam files for these. 

This information will not be finalized until 5 days before the event. Get an idea here of how the event will go, but keep in mind that it will not be final until December 1st.

 

Fields

We will have 2 tournament fields and 2 skills/practice fields. If you can supply a field to go in either spot, let me know asap. 

 

Volunteers

If you have any adults that would like to help keep score or work the queue tables, send their names my way. If you have teams that do not plan on showing up, please let me know ASAP. 

 

Lunch / Concessions

We will have cash concessions, pizza, chips, drinks and candy.  Lunch can be eaten by teams in the pit area / cafeteria.

 

Judging

No Judging for this event.  Our goal is to have a fast paced event to get you in and out for the day

 

Pits

The pits will be in the Cafeteria. Please bring power strips for the community charging stations and make sure everything is labeled. 

Only coaches, students and event staff are allowed in the pit area. Badges will be available to designate who can be where. We will have monitors ensuring that G1 and G2 rules are being followed.

If the event is full, please add your team to the wait list.

Payments are due by 1/26/25. If your team does not pay by that deadline, you may lose your spot and teams will be added from the wait list. 

Additional information regarding directions, campus maps, and times will be added closer to the tournament date.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email [email protected]. Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com.
