The Wes-Del Middle School VEX IQ Robotics Competition is an exciting day of STEM innovation, teamwork, and competition for middle school students from across the region. Teams will showcase their engineering and programming skills as they compete in the VEX IQ Robotics Competition game for the 2025–2026 season.

This event provides students with the opportunity to collaborate, problem-solve, and apply real-world STEM concepts in a fun, competitive environment.

 

Event Schedule:

  • Check-In & Inspection: 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM

  • Opening Ceremony: 9:00 AM

  • Qualification Matches Begin: 9:30 AM

  • Lunch Break: Approximately 12:00 PM

  • Final Rounds & Awards: Approximately 4:00 PM

  • Team and robot inspections

  • Qualification and teamwork matches

  • Skills Challenge runs

Additional Information:

  • Concessions and lunch will be available for purchase on-site.

  • All teams must have current RECF/VEX IQ registrations.

  • Parking is free and located on the south and north side of the fieldhouse.

  • In case of inclement weather, event updates will be sent via email and posted on the event’s RobotEvents page.

Agenda

Our schedule for the day is approximately as follows:

8:00am - Doors Open

8:00-9:00am - Team Check In

8:00-9:15am - Inspection

9:30am - Coaches Meeting

10:00-12:00pm - Morning Qualification Matches / Skills Open

12:00pm-1:00pm - Skills Fields Closed / Lunch Break 

1-3:00pm - Skills open / Afternoon Qualification Matches 

3:00 approximately - Skills Closed (after last qualifying match)

3:15pm - Finals matches and Awards

4:00pm - Pack up and Depart. Have a safe trip home!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Although we do not plan on having inclement weather we know we live in Indiana and the weather changes whenever it wants to! Please know that we will do everything in our power to host the competition on the scheduled date. In the event of bad weather for traveling in the morning we may initiate a 2 hour delay to the start time. Although it makes it inconvient and the event runs later, our end goal is to host the event for the students on the date planned. In the event that this tournament cannot take place due to inclement weather registration fees will be returned minus $5.00 for administrative fees and postage. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment Deadline is January 10, 2026. 

UNPAID TEAMS MAY BE MOVED TO THE WAITLIST ON THIS DATE AND TEAMS ON THE WAITLIST WILL BE MOVED INTO THE COMPETITION. IF THIS IS AN ISSUE FOR YOUR TEAM CONTACT US BEFORE THIS DATE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS.

All teams need to be present and checked in prior to the start of the competition (no later than 9:00am). Refunds will not be issued to teams who arrive after competition rounds have begun.

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

In the event that this tournament cannot take place and is forced to be canceled teams will receive a full refund minus $5 REC fee. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

There will be no refund.
