General Info

Join us for an exciting day of innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving at our VEX IQ Robotics Tournament! Teams of elementary and middle school students will showcase their engineering skills as they design, build, and program robots to compete in this season’s official VEX IQ challenge. Throughout the event, students will participate in teamwork matches, skills challenges, and judging sessions that highlight collaboration, creativity, and the engineering design process. Families, educators, and community members are invited to attend and cheer on the teams as they demonstrate critical thinking, perseverance, and sportsmanship in a fun, high-energy STEM environment. Concessions will be available, and an awards ceremony will conclude the event to recognize outstanding performance, design and game strategy, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Volunteer

Thank you for volunteering at our VEX IQ Robotics Tournament! Your time and support play a critical role in creating a positive, organized, and inspiring experience for our students. Volunteers may serve in a variety of roles, including team check-in, queuing, judging support, scorekeeping, field reset, pit administration, and hospitality. No prior robotics experience is required—training and role-specific instructions will be provided at the beginning of the event.

Please arrive at your assigned check-in time to allow for orientation and placement. Comfortable attire and closed-toe shoes are recommended, as many roles require standing and light movement throughout the day. We ask all volunteers to model gracious professionalism, encourage teamwork, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, coaches, and guests. We truly appreciate your willingness to support STEM learning and help make this tournament a memorable and successful event!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the unlikey event this tournament needs to be cancelled due to the weather or emergency,  the event will be rescheduled for Saturday April 11th. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: There are no fees associated with this event. The event partner will notify you by email prior to the event of any changes to timing or any cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Please notify the event partner 24 hour prior to withdrawingf form the event. 

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks (optional) will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. This is an optioanl process and teams will be required to indicate if they want be interviewed.
