Welcome to our VEX IQ Competition event!

Diamond Bar Robotics is proud to host another exciting VEX IQ tournament for the current competition season. As an experienced Event Partner, our goal is to provide a professional, organized, and enjoyable competition experience for all participating teams, coaches, parents, and volunteers.

Our organization has extensive experience running VEX IQ events and coaching competitive teams. We understand the importance of creating a fair, efficient, and student-centered environment where teams can showcase their engineering, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

What to Expect

  • Well-organized team check-in and robot inspection process

  • Experienced event management and volunteer staff

  • Multiple competition fields to support efficient match schedules

  • Dedicated Skills Challenge fields

  • Judging conducted in accordance with REC Foundation guidelines (if applicable)

  • Clear communication throughout the event

  • A welcoming atmosphere that promotes learning, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism

Team Preparation

Teams are encouraged to:

  • Review the current season's Game Manual before the event.

  • Ensure their robots comply with all inspection requirements.

  • Bring fully charged batteries, controllers, and any necessary spare parts.

  • Arrive on time to complete check-in and inspection before qualification matches begin.

Spectators

Parents, family members, and friends are welcome to attend and support participating teams. We ask all spectators to respect event staff, volunteers, and competition procedures to help create a positive experience for everyone.

Please refer to the event details page for information regarding food availability, nearby restaurants, and venue-specific policies.

Event Updates

Important announcements, schedules, and event updates will be posted on the RobotEvents event page. Coaches should monitor the event page regularly before the tournament.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in events.vex.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Full refunds will be available. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Full refund will be available if cancelled at least 7 days before event day. 

No refund available if cancelled 7 days or less before event day. 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply.

  •  All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact.  Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
