General Info

The Science Academy STEM Magnet is excited to host the Annual Supernova Spectacular Middle School Tournament - Over Under. This is a middle school-only event taking place on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The High School only tournament will take place on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

The event will be open to 36 middle schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend the California State Championship. This event will be limited to five teams per organization. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available for you to sign up additional teams, but precedence will be given to schools/organizations that are not yet registered. 9:00 am - Drivers Meeting

9:15 am - Morning Qualification matches / Skills Field Opens 

12:30 pm - Lunch 

1:15 pm - Afternoon Qualification matches

2:45 pm - Skill Fields close

3:00 pm - Alliance Selection

3:30 pm - Elimination matches begin

4:30 pm - Finals and Awards

5:00 pm - Event Ends

The Event is held indoors and will not be affected by rain.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be provided in a timely manner to all participants that paid in full for the event. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds for this event are only available if you ask to be removed from the event prior to the event closing on the REC Robot Events website to allow us time to invite teams from the waitlist. Please contact Anjalika Nigam at 818-470-3808.
