635: Cycling with SG8 interpretation
<SG8> Possession is limited. Robots may not have greater-than-momentary Possession of more than three (3) Balls of its opposing Alliance’s color at once. When two Robots from the same Alliance are working in tandem and blocking Balls, those Robots may not Possess a total of more than six (6) Balls of its opposing Alliance’s color at once. Robots that violate this rule must stop all Robot actions except for those actions that are attempting to remove the excess Ball. Minor violations of this rule that are not Match Affecting will receive a warning. Match Affecting offenses will result in a Disqualification. Teams that receive multiple warnings may also receive a Disqualification at the Head Referee’s discretion.
Would this be a correct interpretation of the rules to say if a "Snailbot" had a blue ball at the top of their intake and four red balls. Let's say they got the fourth one from the goal being on blue team. They would now be Violating SG8 if they didn't dispense the balls so if they were to "Cycle" these balls in this process they would pick up the fourth red ball and shoot the blue ball into the goal after violating SG8 would this be a violation if they dispensed a red ball after scoring thus not stopping all actions since they got a red ball first. For clarity sake let's say that the red ball being intaked and the blue ball being scored was clearly definable as the blue ball being scored a second or so after the red ball was intaked.
We apologize, but we are going to have to ask that you re-phrase and re-submit this question. It is not clear which Alliance the hypothetical Robot is on, and is missing other Match context. It is impossible to provide a blanket answer based on a hypothetical snapshot of a Match taken out of context. We would recommend re-phrasing the question as it pertains to the specific portion(s) of <SG8> that you feel require clarification.
