1109: Variance in the mass of discs

2114C
1-Jun-2022

Appendix A on page A-9 of the Game manual states that the mass of a Disc is 65 grams, ± 20 grams (see attached picture)

The definition of Disc states:

Disc - A yellow foam object that can be manipulated by Robots. Discs have the following overall dimensions, with an expected tolerance of 0.02”:

Weight: 65g ± 10g

Since these mass tolerances are contradictory, can the GDC please clarify which is correct? It seems to me that the tolerance in Appendix A seems excessive, given that it makes both a 45g disc and an 85g disc legal, with the latter being nearly twice the mass of the former.

Thank you. [Example Image]

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The correct tolerance is +/- 20 grams. This will be corrected in the June 14th Game Manual update.
