<G4><G4> All work must represent the skill level of the Students on the Team. The Team’s design, Robot, coding, strategy, and ongoing work must represent the skill level of the Students currently on the Team.

B. Teams may be inspired by designs by other teams, and use an idea from someone else to spark innovation, but are expected to document and demonstrate this in their engineering notebook alongside evidence of iteration. Teams are required to present this evidence if asked to do so by a Robot inspector, Head Referee, Event Partner, or Judge.

Are teams going to be required to complete engineering notebooks for competitions?

I understand that by not submitting a notebook for judging, my team forfeits the ability to win other awards.

Thanks for your question, Team 1965B!

Engineering notebooks are not required, but they are the best way for Teams to document that their Robots and code are the result of their own work if concerns are raised by event staff.
