3028: Carbon Fiber Gel
I have a team asking to be able to use a new gel that, as described to me, is the opposite of grease and will increase the friction of the material it is applied to. Now I am assuming that since this does not affect the field and or the play pieces, it is allowed, but I would like clarification before I tell the team one way or another. The gel you describe is not a lubricant, and does not fall within the substances allowed by clause B of <R20> or any other rule. It is not legal for use in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition.
