General Info
Welcome to the Orimattila Regional IQ Competition 2026!
We are excited to welcome VEX IQ teams to Orimattila, Finland, for a day of robotics, teamwork and friendly competition!
This will be the third international VEX IQ event organised in Orimattila, and we are once again looking forward to bringing together young robotics enthusiasts from Finland and other countries. International teams are not just welcome – we really hope to see you here!
Our goal is to create a friendly and relaxed event where students can meet other teams, share ideas and experiences, make new friends and, of course, put their robots to the test in the 2026–2027 VEX IQ Robotics Competition game, Level Up.
International Teams
Orimattila may be a small Finnish town, but getting here is relatively easy. Orimattila is located in Southern Finland, approximately 20 km from Lahti, with good public transport connections to the region. Helsinki Airport is also within easy reach, making the event accessible for teams travelling from other European countries.
If you are travelling from abroad, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to help with information about travel, accommodation and other practical arrangements.
Competition
The event will include Teamwork Challenge matches, Robot Skills and judging. Teams should make sure that their robot is ready for inspection and that they are familiar with the current game rules before arriving at the event.
Please check the Agenda page for the preliminary schedule. The final event schedule will be published in 14th of November, 2026.
