General Info

VEX V5 (MS/HS) Scrimmage - Override™ : VEX V5 Middle and High School - Hosted by Hytec Power

The VEX V5 (MS/HS) Scrimmage - Override™ is a practice and preparation activity designed for Middle School and High School robotics teams participating in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition.

The scrimmage provides teams with a controlled environment to experience competition procedures, test robot performance, refine strategies, and improve their overall readiness before official tournaments.

Unlike a tournament, the scrimmage focuses on learning, experimentation, improvement, and collaboration rather than rankings or championship results.

The event aims to:

  • Provide teams with realistic competition practice
  • Allow students to test and improve advanced robot designs
  • Develop programming, engineering, and strategic skills
  • Improve teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Help teams identify technical improvements before tournaments
  • Build confidence and readiness for official VEX V5 competitions
